OUR VISION

OUR VISION OF BESPOKE FOR ALL

WHY STANDARD SIZING JUST DOESN’T WORK

Buying off the rack has its downfalls, and everyone knows it. So why do we accept it? Rather than demanding that the clothes we buy fit our needs, we experience frustration and even shame when standard sizing doesn’t meet our needs.

Tall, short, square shoulders, sloped shoulders, broad chested, protruding stomach, small frame, thick thighs and calves - all left out of the standard sizing equation.

That's a lot of bodies completely overlooked. If that many people are left with poor options, what are we doing to fix it?

THE PROBLEM

Standardized sizing is a system to save money on manufacturing. By demanding customers pick from a small range of sizes, reducing the costs associated with creating and distribution planning of those additional sizes. The glaring issue here is that bodies come in all different shapes and sizes, and adhering to a standard set of sizes and proportions means a large portion of the population is left with ill-fitting clothes.

EVERY PATTERN IS UNIQUE

We understand the frustration of standard sizing because it's one we share with you. We meet with clients everyday that have their own unique fit concerns. There are no true standard proportions when it comes to bodies, so why do we try to fit bodies into standard sized clothing?

PERSONALIZED SERVICE, PERSONALIZED PATTERN

Step One - MEASUREMENTS

We take measurements to draft a personal pattern rather than simply assign you a size.

Step Two - PATTERN DRAFTING

Using a series of equations we draft a pattern that never gets a numerical size, only your name.

Step Three - SEWN TO THE PERFECT FIT

Because the pattern was drafted to fit perfectly, your finished garment will give you the best fit possible.

You'll never be assigned a size. Unlike many practices, you aren't measured with the goal of assigning you the most accurate size or taking notes for alterations to a ready-made garment. Your measurements are used in a series of mathematical equations to draft a pattern that gives us the most accurate flat rendering of your body. From there these foundation blocks are used to create patterns for suit jackets, trousers, waistcoats and shirts by adding in the correct amount of ease to create your desired fit and design details to achieve your envisioned style!
